Clinical Administrator  

Job Title: Clinical Administrator 
Job Location: Park Lodge, Wolverhampton 
Pay: £23,000 – 37.5 hours a week 

Job Purpose: 

To co-ordinate the governance of the Hospital encompassing the Clinical, and Health & Safety aspects to ensure compliance with the legal, regulatory bodies and contractual requirements that govern the hospital. To support the MDT, Nursing Team and RC with meetings as the minute taker. 

Main Tasks: 

To offer administrative support to the Multi-displinary Team during ward rounds, team meetings and any other time as required. 
To offer administrative support to the Responsible Clinician. 
To schedule and send Ward Round invitations to CCGs and care coordinators. 
Send out monthly clinical updates to care co-ordinators and CCG contacts for each patient according to the templates provided or in the form of the MDT report where no template is provided. 
To ensure that minutes are taken during CPAs, Ward Rounds, Staff Meeting, Clinical Governance, Health and Safety meetings, and any other relevant meeting review. 
Schedule all Clinical Governance and Health & Safety meetings and send out meeting invites to all staff. 
To co-ordinate & schedule inspectors’ visits and transcribe their recommendations into Clinical governance and Health & Safety agendas so that staff are informed and that all action plans are in one document for monitoring. 
Inform and liaise with hospital director where there are issues with completion of actions. 
Participate in the audit programme and complete assigned audits. 
Send reminders to responsible staff for actions and audits due before the deadline. 
Monitor and record whether action plans from inspections and audits are carried out by the relevant people. 
To support the Hospital Director with documentation auditing and organising patient’s folder as required. 
Ensure all evidence for meeting regulations is kept in folders both in electronic and physical format. 
To keep up to date with the policies and procedures. 
To attend any training courses, which will ensure effectiveness in the post. 
Undertake reasonable management requests. 
Liaise with the Manager on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running of the Unit in all aspects. 
Undertake such duties as may be agreed with the Manager &/or Deputy. 
To be fully aware of all the operational procedures especially with regard to Health and Safety, fire, emergencies etc. 
To establish and promote good relationships with colleagues and with residents, relatives, care co-ordinators, commissioners etc. 
To work alongside and to cover, when appropriate, other administration roles within the Hospital. 

Qualifications / Skills: 

A minimum of 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at C (4/5) and above is essential. 
2 years minimum administration experience is essential. 
Proven computer literacy skills is essential. 
Experience of working in a Hospital environment is desirable but not essential. 
Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. 
To have good working ethos and be supportive to the team. 
Ability to work autonomously or part of a team is essential. 
A willingness to learn new skills and support service developments is essential. 
You will be required to demonstrate sensitivity, an awareness of patients’ needs and a commitment to improving the patient experience.
